If you are using Firefox, you would want to put the link in the
"firefox/plugins" directory... not mozilla's plugin directory.
I should point out that I'm a Linux/Fedora newbie. So, I may be
wrong. However, I am running FC2 with Firefox v1.0. I installed
Firefox in the following location:
/usr/local/bin/firefox-1.0
Therefore, my plugins directory, where I created the link, was:
/usr/local/bin/firefox-1.0/plugins
I'm not entirely sure if that is where I *should* have installed the
app. Still, I created the link in the plugins directory above and it
works flawlessly for me.
I should also admit out that I spent an hour trying to figure out why
my link wasn't working... until I realized I was creating it in the
"mozilla/plugins" directory. For some reason, when I installed Java,
I just went directly to mozilla and never stopped to think that I was
using Firefox. I don't think I'll ever make THAT mistake again. ;-)
