Since "nc" is giving the problem.... I'm suggesting options within nc....

Already tried -i. No success. Already tried:
# iconv -f UTF-8 -t ISO8859-1 myscript > myscript.ISO8859-1
(hah! could it be caused some encoding issue?)
# chmod +x myscript.ISO8859-1
# ./myscript.ISO8859-1
and
# . ./myscript.ISO8859-1
(hah! could it be caused by the environment vars?)
