Actually, it's not. Your log will be filled with PAM error messages
until you tell PAM not to use it.
Yes, now I see it. There is /etc/pam.d/fingerprint-auth(-ac) that is
included in /etc/pam.d/gdm-fingerprint . I'm not sure I can just remove
it without destabilizing gdm login manager.
