Hi all,
Does anybody know what the corelation between fedora package version numbers
and mozilla version numbers?
e.g. While looking into CSS3 compatibility everybody refers to firefox-3.x;
but fedora firefox->about reports firefox 26.0.
Hard to imagine fedora is 23 major versions ahead of mozilla's major
version.
It's not. Latest Mozilla major version is now at 28 (you can check this
by going to the Mozilla home page too), and so is the version shipped by
Fedora.
This large version numbers are due to the somewhat recent (couple of
years maybe) change in policy by Mozilla to "release early, release
often".
Hope this helps,
