Bugs in Yum for Fedora 14
Dear list,
I'm trying to use my own repository for yum and encountered some
strange things in yum.
First of all yum doesn't understands an aliased domain name.
When I put an alias like
ftp.example.com it just uses
example.com.
Second. When I put the baseurl in the /etc/yum.repos.d as
http://ftp.example.com/ it tries to download from
ftp://example.com/
Is there any misconfiguration on my part or is it yum that wants
exact addresses of where to get the packages from.
Hard to say. Can you post your .repo file?
Sounds like it might be some kind of simple syntax error, but hard to
say without more info.
