It is compose e =, but I don't know of a canonical list that tells you
all combinations. I discovered by trying "reasonable" keys based on how
the character looks.
For example:
1. ë is compose e "
2. é is compose e '
3. č is compose c c
4. ç is compose c ,
and so on.
2. It works also in emacs
Well for me it works when I start emacs in the terminal, emacs -nw; for
a gui emacs it doesn't. But then I have the more powerful TeX input
method at my disposal. ;)
