argh i've lost the logs right now. But basically it's doing some
stupid CDROM mount thing for the drivers first like usb_modeswitch
does for modems.
i'm quite sure i've mounted it on gnome fedora without issue.

Again, my Galaxy S4 is a Verizon phone. It first mounts a Verizon CDROM
drive to install the Verizon windows software. I just wait (normally)
and this times out and then the Samsung device is offered and mounted.
Have you turned on mtp support on your Nokia?
