Ok, I see:
root:$6$JWD4PKHdIqOUHz6.$vAyKsz/.CbDymUfp4zmdtmjQgu1Dayif7YxDJUrVHay7PGlJwKkKbLTP4TEkqGeD68tTyBKeON3/APKZ4A0E61::0:99999:7:::
What whould it look like when removed? Just root: ?
I've removed the "x" from /etc/passwd and it if it isn't exactly right
