I currently use J-pilot on my Fedora machine to link up with my Palm

Are there any PIMs or similar applications available in Fedora which
will run in the background under X and produce pop up reminders (or
similar)?
J-pilot is for synching, as is gpilot. To get pop-up alarms etc. you
want Evolution (yum install evolution) or the KDE PIM tools --
korganizer, kmail and so on (yum install kdepim).
