Unless you think you have a chance of being singled out by a
goverment or if you don't trust some of the people/machines on your
local network, this isn't a significant risk.
Additionally, F18 is not out yet, and there are still fedup bugs that
may or should be fixed before release as well as after release.
I agree the concern listed on that page is overblown.
