Possibly "Real Player" crap, among other oddities[1].
From memory, the all codecs pack (vs. essential) support a few more old
or exotic formats. You might not need them. You can keep the links
for ref. JIC.

Haven't had to deal with Real Player and not worth being able to it
unless I get something that requires such.
