Tangentially... Can the output go to multiple devices simultaneously?
If you have a system that periodically thinks device one is now device
two, and vice versa, sending to both might be a simple work around.
For me, that kind of approach would work, too. Normally, I just have
sound going through the HDMI monitor, and that gives me enough to hear
alerts and whatnot. But if I want to enjoy music, I switch on my
stereo amplifier. It's a bit of a pain to, also, have to reroute
audio.
