Allegedly, on or about 27 August 2014, Brian Johnson sent:
1) I don't think I have a camera -- a user wrote me and told me
to
look at the configuration using my service tag. I did and there's not
a camera listed. Which is fine, but there's something odd on the
bottom bezel of the screen. It's square and looks like it has a lens
in it, like a camera. If it isn't a camera...I have no clue what it
is.
Could be a light sensor, to automatically control the brightness of the
screen (or, for some people, to automatically, and continually set the
brightness incorrectly).
Generally, cameras are placed at the top of screens.

George Orwell's '1984' was supposed to be a warning against tyranny, not
a set of instructions for supposedly democratic governments.
