uhm, i don't think because system-config-printer automatically setup
firewall for printing in the same way (trusted services: mDns, IPP
client/server).
Do you know what protocol the print server router is using to
advertise
the printer on the network? It might be SNMP (i.e. responding to SNMP
broadcast requests), or mDNS, or possibly NetBIOS/SMB.
in system-config-printer i can read "lpd network printer via DNS-SD";
