yes, laser/toner due cost a lot more, and, a whole different ball game.
i do like dry ink over wet ink and in most cases, they give a good quality
print. not as high a dpi, but colors blend much better.
as for laser cartridge vs ink cartridge and usage, toner is hard to
beat. like you say, for what you pay for 2 or 3 ink cartridges, you
can buy one toner cartridge and have a lot longer print time.
i have 2 brother m-1908 24 pin printers that i still use for a lot of
day to day printing. they are a bit high in noise level, but i have
become used to it. for cost per page, they are hard to beat. :)
