Though that's missing the point. When you actually go up to your TV,
stereo, whatever, and press the clunky power switch, the damn thing
ought to actually be disconnected from the power.
Quite apart from the power wastage, having electronic devices always
powered on is a bit of a fire risk, especially switch mode power
supplies.
