what virus scan /firewire options are avalible with Fedora core 3 ? im a
newbie (hi everyone) and just wanted to know what security options it
has :-)

The programs clamscan and chkrootkit come as standard packages in fedora.
The firewall iptables is part of the standard installation setup.
