Copying private keys around is usually a bad idea. But there are cases where
it's needed. (For example, FAS unfortunately still only allows you to
upload a single public key.)
I share the same ssh private key between my desktop server and my
laptop (both as the same user). I don't see much reason to have two
separate keys for that.
Given you're copying around the key through a secure LAN, it isn't that bad.
