In my notes, I say I also ought to do this:
ln -s /dev/null /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-setup-link.rules
Plus, if there are already files named things like
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-<annoying name>
You may need to rename them and edit any names recorded
inside of them.
I get eth0 on my f25 boot partition with these changes.
