How about going back to a 4.5 kernel? All my intel
problems started when the 4.6 kernel showed up.
The machine at home (hamster) was having other issues. The CPU had
a bad core in it. I punted and just bought a new machine (with an
nVidia GTX950). Put in my old hard drive, futzed with a few things
and got it up (serious problems with polkit, but the old computer had
crashed ugly and corrupted bits and pieces of the filesystem).
Haven't had a chance to play with an old kernel here yet.
