Hi guys,i had install the mplayer from repo, and i had puted codecs
file
named all-20071007 into the /usr/lib/codecs,however i still can't see
the rmvb files.i can hear the sounds, but can't see the video.why? i did
the same things last time, and there was not any problem.
I recently reinstalled Fedora 8 and went thru this. I have no problems with
mplayer (it plays everything!). I just grabbed the codecs file from:
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html#binary_codecs
...then unpacked it on /usr/lib/codecs without any problem.
Just make sure you unpack the individual files (dll's...etc) on that same
directory. When you unpack that it will create a directory..just move the
files there to /usr/lib/codecs
Anyway, I never heard of any "rmvb" files? Are there REal Media (.rm) files?
Please post the output when you play the file from the command-line.
must i replace the all-20071007 by window-all-20071007? what'
the
difference between them?
I don't know what's the difference. You should get them straight from the
source (the link I provided you).
