Well..... I don't know you went about installing....or what desktop you'd prefer
as
your primary.... But for a fresh install with the standard Gnome (workstation)
desktop you'd want to download from
https://getfedora.org/en/workstation/download/ and pick the appropriate link.
You can have the choice of downloading a Live image or a Net-Install image.
With the live image you then do an install to disk an you get the released version of
all the packages. After you're up and running there will be updates to install.
With the net install version, when you do the install the process downloads the most
recent versions of the packages being installed.
FWIW, I've never heard of an easy method to take a 32-bit installation to a 64-bit
installation. So, it is best to "start over".
