Greetings;
One last problem it appears. I was going to burn the FC6 iso for one of
the techs at Circuit City to give him while he's putting a new drive in
my lappy today, and k3b tried, but failed, never writing a byte to the
blank dvd+r disk as diskinfo says its still empty.
dvdstyler burned that wedding video 2 days ago just fine, but this is the
first time I've trie k3b since putting FC6 in.
ISTR seeing someone else with this problem go by, but evidently my search
terms in kmail can't find it. What was the fix?
Thanks.

Burning an iso shouldnt be a problem. But if you are compiling a new dvd
or cd you may get error like was not able to allocate memory. this
problem relates to the growisofs. Newer kernel doesnt allow it to
acquire low level memory I suppose.
Fix is
go to Settings: configure k3b: Programs: User parameters:
and put the following parameter against growisofs
-use-the-force-luke=bufsize:16m
This works for me
