Hi,
Does anyone know how to check for corrupt files/disks, etc.?
I have some issues archiving my Mail directory (see subject: Tar/Zip/Rar
trouble) and am wondering if anyone knows how to check this?
Thanks,
Jeroen
Does the corruption happen with different sources to tar/gzip/bzip2?
Does while archiving in verbose mode appear any error message?
What are the commands you run?
Compression errors often occurs because of bad/damaged RAM.
