On gnome, Desktop->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts is very helpful for
defining these sorts of keys to open email, control volume and
such...but as it appears you're using KDE I don't have experience with
that so I couldn't tell you where to find an equivalent.

To quick, found it as "LapTop keyboard Compaq", not "Compaq laptop
keyboard"
Got the volume working now, don't know about the Fn keys yet, The others,
"i", "e-mail", "search" and the "mute" do not
work.
