On one side, this is a fairly harmless mode of tracking, on the
otherside, I believe it would be better to just ASK each use to
register their installation.
On a related note, it would also be nice to have the anti-phishing
stuff off
by default. (And then you could delay the web services notification until
someone enabled that feature as another alternative.)
I still haven't found out how to disable this feature myself. It
really should be off by the default.
