good morning,
My .bash_profile looks like this:
---------------
# .bash_profile
# Get the aliases and functions
if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
. ~/.bashrc
fi
# User specific environment and startup programs
PATH=$PATH:$HOME/.local/bin:$HOME/bin
export PATH
ksysguard &
# the end.
---------------
But I want the KSysGuard to be launched only when:
* the session is interactive (not batch, cron, anacron, or at);
and
* it's a direct login from the login screen, not an "su" connection.
How do I do that in my .bash_profile? That is,
-----
if [ what goes here? ]; then
ksysguard &
fi

How do I, within the .bash_profile if test, distinguish su connection vs. direct login
from the login screen?
Are you a KDE user? If so, and you want ksysguard started when you login to a KDE
session
why not use System Settings-->Workspace--->Startup & Shutdown--->Autostart?
