It seems like a fairly different business than what they are in now. They
sell support for servers and business desktops. They wouldn't necessarily
be able to command a big price for providing a base OS for phones. Google
isn't necessarily making much money directly on phones. I think for them it's
a way to make sure someone can't be paid off to shunt people away from
Google.
