As near as I can tell from the descriptions, the whole surface of
the mouse is touch sensitive, so it would depend entirely on
what the driver decided to do with the low level events from
the mouse. No doubt whoever implemented the linux driver thought
that all mice should have at least three buttons.
That makes sense. My finger is typically at a location on this mouse
where an imaginary line between 1st and 2nd (middle) buttons would be.
Maybe it'd work better if the middle button were a narrower slice
between 1st and 3rd buttons, requiring more deliberate use to
activate.
