file as I don't have a gui on the server. Some linux distro's keep it in a
file called /etc/HOSTNAME but were is it set in fedora 1?

Where do you change the hostname of a system in FC1, It must be set to
localhost.localdomain and when it boots from dhcp/dns then only must it get
a name from the server.
