However, the GATEWAY must be within that range unless he is using
IPLESS connections. He said there is a router connected, so this
should be the subnet on the private side of the router and the gateway
would be the routers IP address.

The linux machine is connected to the modem directly thru the hub, three

to be with the Gateway address. What configuration files should I edit
