I couldn't help but notice that your installing atrpms packages. Your
right about the "different configuration" thingy, and it's because yumex
and yum aren't configured to check the same repositories. I'd avoid
updating from the atrpms repository if I were U.

As I said before if I try and perform a standard update via yumex I do
not get the same amount of updates but only the xorg updates. Is yumex
using a different configuration?
