My older sister runs Ubuntu on her desktop. At least 95% of the time It
Just Works, which is more than you can say for Windows. The other 5% of
the time she asks me, because we share a condo.
Agree with this, this discussion started with a message about
partitioning a drive. If I have to do this in Windows I google it, I
bet most people do if they need to, and even more never even attempt
it. There are different levels of functionality for 'it just works'.
