It's in the realm of 20+GB written per day every day, for the warranty period. If
you're doing that, get an enterprise SSD. Or stick with HDDs.
A standard, non-enterprise, consumer SSD will last far longer[1] than anyone
thinks. Please put the myths and conspiracy theories that /tmp or /var/tmp or
anything on any SSD is "bad" to rest.
