speaking of Google hits, did you try "BIOS manual" - they do
exist, but, one must never miss an opportunity to pile on Karl,
must one?
You talking to me? I was trying to help the guy. Any BIOS manual that I
have ever seen was very simple to say the least. It sounded to me like
he was looking for real details.
speaking of this subject, I do remember reading about a new
feature in some motherboard a couple of months ago, an embedded
Linux on a chip that you could boot into with a couple of
keystrokes - one of the things it would let you do once booted,
was flash your BIOS if you were connected to the internet
The last several MBs that I have had had a built-in flash system. I have
not needed to do that for some time. Last time was with a bootable floppy.
