No, that's wrong now. Please see man 5 exports. It explains the mandatory format of
the
exports definition and comes with examples.
Your definition lacks what to export. The "/home ..." was correct, at least
syntactically. Although you may want to export /home/bob from the NFS server?
Also, he needs to look at the exports man page a bit more closely.
There are no "soft", "intr", or "fg" options in the
exports. These are options on the nfs
*client* side.
It is very possible the nfs server is choking on both no definition of what to export as
well as invalid parameters.
