This is what I do, and all my devices (phones, tablets, etc.) move seamlessly between
bands as they move around our home.
Never a loss of connections.

Yeah, my router supports that, and I'll add a DHCP reservation for my Fedora laptop.
However - I upgraded the firmware on my wireless AP on Monday and I haven't seen any
wifi drops since then. So possibly problem solved? :-)
