Someone asked the exact same question earlier this month. Sadly there
was no response. It is also interesting that in that case the drives in
question were WD.

Hope this sheds some light in someway to your problem.
Thanks for the hint. It doesn't really help, unfortunately. The machine
in question has only fixed disks, so I don't see a reason to enable
udisksd at all. I stopped and disabled the service for now.
