Southwest US). The manufacturer of my printer (Epson)
recommended that I use the printer at least twice a week to
keep the jets clear. It didn't help. The jets
eventually became hopelessly clogged. I even
considered building a humidity control cabinet to keep the
printer in.

The ink was brand new though!
But the printer jets weren't. They were as old as the printer. And some of that old
ink dried and clogged a jet or two. I doesn't take much. The jets are very small.
But at least it's working properly now.
