Most ISPs actually don't use DHCP as DHCP, _per se_; they're

My IP only changed on comcast when the cable system was down for about two
weeks after a hurricane. I've got a dynamic IP service that came for
"free" with my router (but every month I have to keep telling it
that yes, I'm still there, and no I don't want to upgrade :-). I don't
even use the name for much of anything. I certainly don't run a
public server.
