I was wrong
Just installed on another machine - 3 minutes!
And then how long for dnf update?
And another reboot for the new kernel?
Most of my time is in getting the partitions how I want them and various
other steps before selecting the apps I want.
The actual download and install was maybe 10 min.
And CDs burn faster than DVDs :)
