I was wondering if it was worthwhile or correct to amend the yum

What I mean is, will things get messed up if I install the rpmforge
package(s), (DAGS stuff) or Livna?
Yes, no problem. You might want to be careful about inter-repository
compatibility, though -- RPMForge and Livna may package the same stuff
in different ways. You're probably best off choosing just to install the
Livna packages *or* the rpmforge packages.
Easiest way to enable livna for yum:
rpm -ivh
http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-6.rpm
That will tell yum how to access livna, and make the repository
available. Then you can just yum install what you want.
Right now there is nothing available for fc6 in rpmforge (dag) but
maybe
that is ok? And the same with Livna.
Eh? There's plenty for FC6.
James.
