On a tangent, but I would say "packages", since many packages aren't
really "apps" — they're libraries or utilities or daemons or fonts or
wahtever. And, on the other side, many things we think of as "apps" are
actually several packages put together.

so, what about restoring "packages" from this file... dnf install
