How to install fresh kernel from rawhide
by Michael Kuryshev
Hi,
what's the proper steps to install kernel (modules, headers, etc) from
rawhide. And I want to keep 'em updated, without breaking any other
stuff or pulling another rawhide packages.
The reason I want this is to install 4.3+ kernel because it seems it
should have fixed thunderbolt2 support for new 2015 macbooks.

Bluetooth keyboards
by Berend De Schouwer
I currently have a problem where bluetooth keyboard pair, but don't
work.
Other bluetooth devices work. USB keyboards work.
I've tried four different keyboards from four different manufacturers,
so I'm pretty sure it's a local problem.
I've tried different kernels with the same result. So I think that
this is in bluez.
It used to work when F23 went live, so I assume it's a recent update
problem.
I've tried both X11 and Wayland to try and differentiate between
xinput/wayland events. Both exhibit the problem.
The keyboards do pair, and they do need a passcode when pairing, and
entering that passcode does work, so the keyboards are working.
After pairing, they show up as connected. They just do nothing. No
HID input.
If anyone can help me tracking it (or even finding debug info), I'd
appreciate it. I don't know where next to look.

F23 Installer does not recognize any storage devices
by Oliver Paukstadt
Hello
I try to install F23 onto a predefined but unused md device.
I read about problems with the workstation image, so I used
server-netinstall on a physical cd.
The install target box stays gray with warning sign, even
if /tmp/storage.log is about 160k bytes and /proc and /sys is populated.
Is there any way to work around this problem?
Might using the full server iso help?
Regards,
Oliver

my server is stuck i did:
dnf system-upgrade download --release=23
dnf system-upgrade reboot
now the last message i get on console is:
started rolekit - role server
Don't get the usual, updating various packages...tried reboot into recovery

local repository
by arnaud gaboury
I have some rpm packages I have built myself. I need to create a local
repo in order to reference these packages and solve dependency issues.
What I did:
- put all my .rpm in one folder
- # createrepo /my/path/to/rpm
The last command create and populate a subdir repodata
then:
# dnf config-manager --add-repo file:///my/path/to/rpm
It added a file in /etc/yum.repo.d:
----------------------------------------
name=created by dnf config-manager from file:///storage/development/rpm/
baseurl=file:///storage/development/rpm/
enabled=1
---------------------------------------
% dnf repolist

There is no surprise as it is a local sqlite DB (as far as I understood).
How shall I solve this issue without setting a http/ftp service ?
Thank you

SElinux issue
by Paolo Galtieri
Somehow my SElinux config has gotten messed up. When I try to install a
module I get the following error:
libsepol.context_from_record: type httpd_prewikka_rw_content_t is not
defined (No such file or directory).
libsepol.context_from_record: could not create context structure
(Invalid argument).
libsemanage.validate_handler: invalid context
system_u:object_r:httpd_prewikka_rw_content_t:s0 specified for
/usr/share/prewikka/htdocs/generated_images [all files] (Invalid argument).
libsemanage.dbase_llist_iterate: could not iterate over records (Invalid
argument).
semodule: Failed!
The httpd_prewikka_rw_content_t does not exist. The directory does
exist, but it doesn't matter whether the directory exists or not I still
get the error. The problem entry is in
/etc/selinux/targeted/contexts/files/file_contexts.local:/usr/share/prewikka/htdocs/generated_images
system_u:object_r:httpd_prewikka_rw_content_t:s0
I have tried using the various selinux tools to correct the problem
without success.
My questions are:
1) Can I manually edit the file_contexts.local file and remove the
problem entry?
2) Is this sufficient?
3) Do I need to run anything after I remove the entry to get SElinux
to work correctly?
Here is al ls -l of /etc/selinux/targeted/contexts/files/
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 369806 Nov 20 04:44 file_contexts
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1379785 Aug 22 18:55 file_contexts.bin
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 13169 Nov 20 04:44 file_contexts.homedirs
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 45743 Aug 22 18:55 file_contexts.homedirs.bin
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1092 Oct 22 18:14 file_contexts.local
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 3936 Aug 22 18:55 file_contexts.local.bin
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 0 Nov 20 04:43 file_contexts.subs
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 474 Nov 20 04:43 file_contexts.subs_dist
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 139 Nov 20 04:43 media
How are the .bin files generated?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

building rpm: error in shared libraries
by arnaud gaboury
I wrote and build successfuly a rpm package. When it comes to install,
I have this error:
# dnf install MyPackage.rpm
Error: package rstudio-server-0.99.800-1.fc23.x86_64 requires
libR.so()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
The cited library is indeed already installed:
% ldconfig -p | grep libR.so
807: libR.so (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/lib64/R/lib/libR.so
This shared lib is provided by a home made package,
R-intel-core-3.2.2. This package is similar to Fedora R-core-3.2.2,
but built witn Intel compiler and MKL.

% dnf provides /usr/lib64/R/lib/libR.so

I added this line in my .spec file:

I have no idea how make my rpm install and why the shared library is
not found. Is there any dirty trick to add in the package something
like a Provide:
