Blank SELinux alerts
by Joe Zeff
For the last six years, I've been running BOINC on my computer and
participating in various WCG projects starting with Folding@Home as well
as Einstein@Home. Recently, a badly-written project started spewing
SELinux alerts because it was trying to walk various directories in
/proc where it has no business being. (BOINC runs in permissive mode; I
get the alerts, but the actions are allowed.) The only way to stop this
was to abort the unit and, eventually, unselect the project completely.
Just before I did that, I accidentally opened the troubleshooter twice.
Before I could deal with the first instance, it closed and a second
window opened, blank. Since then, I've been getting several alerts a
day, but whenever I click on the icon, there are no alerts showing.
I've reported this to fedoraforum.org, but so far, no response. Does
anybody here know what file/files sealert is looking at that might be
corrupted?

I am getting the following warnings when I try to update.

Please report this error at http://yum.baseurl.org/report

I have stopped all compiz, emerald and ccsm updates and the rest of my

Is anybody else having this problem or should I file a bug?

F15 - evolution crashes - abrt.conf
by Gregory P. Ennis
Everyone,
I have had problems with evolution on F15 ever since I installed F15. I
think I may have found at least one part of the problem and solution.
I kept getting messages from evolution about half the time that
the MaxCrashReportsSize was set too low in /etc/abrt/abrt.conf
I think the original setting was 1000, and I changed it to 5000 which
did not make any difference. I changed it to 50000 today and it seems
to be functioning better, at least it has not crashed in over 4 hours.
Have any of the rest of you had this problem ?

Printing from new PC without LPT/Serial port to Dot Matrix Printer on Smb Share
by Sanjay Arora
Hello all
I am trying to cnfigure LPD/LPR or any other raw printing method (non-cups)
to print from a Fedora 15 machine that does not have a serial or parallel
port.
While I can create the SMB printer from the Printers GUI screen, it does not
get enabled or even print a test page. I think the issue is that the
software prints to a device that does not exist. I think I need to create a
device file & redirect it to the smb share or something similar....but maybe
I'm wrong.
Can someone please tell me what to do, to enable printing to a non-existant
lpt1, which is redirected to a remote windows machine having a shared dot
matrix printer.
With best regards & thanks.
Sanjay.
