udev rule/permissions question
by Hiisi
Dear users!
I need udev to make /dev/mymodem symlink when USB-modem is plugged in.
So, I have created this:
cat /etc/udev/rules.d/95-huawei-e15150.rules
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{serial}=="0000:00:03.3", SYMLINK+="mymodem"
GROUP="dialout"
Now when modem is plugged in the symlink /dev/mymodem is created but
permissions are wrong:
ls -l /dev/mymodem
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 15 25.7. 19:01 /dev/mymodem -> bus/usb/001/026
I would like it to be owned by root:dialout.
Why 'GROUP' option doesn't work? Could anybody point me to solution of this?
TIA

Denis,
MySQL supports converting tables from other storage engines to InnoDB. Here's the documentation:

VM Manager, DHCP, and KVM
by Alex
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a Windows 7 VM using KVM and the "Virtual Machine
Manager" application. My existing internal network is 192.168.1.0/24.
I'd like to either have the VM on the same network, or somehow
configure it so it has access to the resources (DNS, file shares, etc)
on that network.
How can I do this? It seems disabling the DHCP, in an attempt to give
it an existing IP, is not possible. Is DHCP required? If so, do I need
to set up a forwarding DNS server on the host network to NAT and
forward to the real internal DNS server?
When trying to disable NAT, and choose "Route", with DHCP disabled, it shows:
Error changing VM configuration: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'unlinkNode'
Thanks,
Alex

bt keyboard at start up?
by Morgan Read
Hello Folks
I've just installed f12 (from centos5.5) and I'm puzzled at where global
bt config is now?
There was once /etc/sysconfig/bluetooth (still referenced in init
script) where:
HIDD_ENABLED=1
HIDD_OPTIONS="--master --server"
HIDD_OPTIONS="--connect aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff --server"
Could be entered to enable a device at start up.
Also, /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf used to contain devices, but now this is
gone and replaced with /etc/bluetooth/main.conf (iirc) which doesn't
seem similar.
Does anyone know where to enter a device to connect at start up now?
The gnome bt panel applet seems to work fine on a per login basis, but I
need the keyboard from start up.
Many thanks,
M.
