Hi folks, here is the exact interaction for the last
advice from William:

kudzu interaction with printers w/o standby mode (Canon BJC 255)
by Matt Hansen
Hi everyone,
The printer I have, a BJC-255SP, can only be either on or off; there's
no standby mode which some printers have. Therefore, as pointed out by
Tim Waugh, if the printer is not on when I boot up, kudzu won't detect
it and the OS (as seen in Hardware Browser) won't know about it and thus
printing won't work. My point is, if I forget to turn the printer on
before I boot up then once Fedora is loaded and I suddenly want to print
something, I'll have to resort to rebooting with the printer on this
time and then I'm finally able to print..As you can imagine, this is far
from ideal..
My question is, is there a way to get kudzu to detect the printer once
the OS is already loaded or will I always have to reboot?
Thanks for any information.
Regards,
-Matt

Where can I find a dsl speed mirror of yarrow?
by Gene Heskett
The best I've found so far is a 50kb one in germany. But I'm in the
US, and the ones I tried are all throttled to less than 20kb/sec.

Mozilla no access to certain sites
by Chadley Wilson
G'day to all
The weirdest thing ever.
I can go to any website I want, but if I go to www.absadirect.co.za
which is an on-line banking site, I get an error saying host could not
be found. If I try on my other fedora PC it also doesn't work.
Since I am behind a proxy I have tried logging in as a different user
and it still returns the same error.
But if I go on my windows XPlease it works perfectly! :-/
Is it possible that I could have a virus blocking me from the website.
A virus,,,,, Linux, mmmm!

change the resolution when launching a specific software
by Coume - Lubox.com
Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to change the resolution of my computer when launching a specific application. Indeed, I have a 22'' screen in 1600*1200 but when I use mythtv, I have to use 800*600 resolution to get better results as my Pundit video is not that powerful in 1600*1200 :)
thxs in advance

FC2 test3 and nVidia driver
by Tim Alberts
Anyone know the situation with nVidia and their graphics drivers. I've tried
to install the graphics driver on FC2 test2 and FC2 test3. Neither worked.
I sincerely hope that nVidia plans on updating their video drivers to support
the 2.6 kernel soon.

perl Problem
by Jim Patterson
After a recent installation/upgrade to Fedora, I noticed that none perl
can't find any of it's modules. I can find the modules on the system
but whenever I call them from a script it comes back with the error
can't find such and such module.
When I run
perl -MCPAN -e shell
I get the error can't find CPAN.pm and yet when I do locate
I can find it in /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.3/CPAN.pm
Is it possible that I have a configuration file screwed up or a path.
