suggestions for FC-2 midi player for gnome?
Nothing in the menu suggests that it can play midi files - how about
with plug-in for Mozilla?
Thanks

kernel update?
by Ben Anderson
Hi,
I guess fc3 doesn't have ntfs support built into the kernel by
default? How do I add something like this. Do I need to recompile
the kernel manually? I want to add write support as well - this is
stable in kernel 2.6, correct? Can I do this through yum? If someone
can just point me to some docs - that's fine, too. Is there a
definitive site for fedora docs? I need an intro to yum as far as
setting up yum.conf.
Thanks,
Ben

Strange FC3 internet problem
by Catalin Leanca
I'm using Fedora Core 3 with all released updates.
My computer is LAN connected (routable addresses)
An Cisco 3550 Multilayer switch is the internet gateway for this LAN.
After boot i can't access any location outside my LAN on any port except ICMP packets.
For example "ping www.google.com" works perfect and "telnet www.google.com 80" no response.
telnet on port 80 on my LAN web server works, as well as all others services in my LAN.
Linux Firewall is disabled, SELinux is disabled, ipv6 disabled too
On Cisco 3550 no ACL is present.
After a number of unsucceded tries in firefox browser (to google or other outside site) everything
starts to work normally,
i am able to connect to internet on any port.
After reboot the problem is still there.
Thanks, Catalin L

Re: XAWTV sound .
by Raffi Khatchadourian
Yeah, the line channel is up on aumix. What's weird is that although
there is no audio, there is a typical "channel clicking" sound you would
normally expect to hear from a TV when changing channels. I am not able
to compile the km module from gatos, hence, I do not have a /dev/video,
and unfortunately, am not able to use TVtime. I'm forced to use Xvideo
instead :(

Sendmail Not Processing/Responding after bootup.
by Ow Mun Heng
Guys,
I'm increasingly being irritated by my sendmail. For some reason, it
keeps hanging and won't accept any incoming connections (localhost). I
have to manually restart sendmail (sometime up to 2 times) before it
starts responding.
I always see the following lines
sm-mta[19104]: sql_select option missing
sm-mta[19104]: auxpropfunc error no mechanism available
sm-mta[19104]: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: sql

DUMP: ACLs in inode #nnnnn won't be dumped
by Georg Wittig
Hello everybody,
since FC3 I get thousands of those warnings when I run the dump program
on my root partition. The man page doesn't help, nor does the list
archive, nor does Google.
Are these messages something I should be worried about, or can I ignore
them safely?
Thanks for your help,

Configuring Xorg to be Intelligent.
by Scott Ryan
I am trying to configure Xorg for two setups. Currently I have to manually
change between when my laptop is in the docking station and when it is out
of it. In the docking station my monitor supports 2048x1535 @ 75Hz, and when
it is out of it, it only supports 1400x1050 @ 60Hz. Is there I way I can
configure Xorg to intelligently detect which config file to use, or is there
a way of putting both configurations in the same config file?
Many thanks
