The existing spins process as documented [1] is pretty close to
reality, but there is some confusion over the separation of duties. So,
I took a crack at editing this [2] to what I think it should be. I
believe this is the applicable process for "official" spins which will
carry the Fedora Trademark and be hosted by the spins page.
Comments appreciated.

Yeey! Feedback! ;-)
Some of the things you mentioned are not entirely accurate;
Submission of a Spin does not imply it is going to be composed, released
or hosted by the Fedora Project, or anything in between... I'd say, in
overview:
== To get a Spin in the Kickstart Pool ==
0: Submit your spin to the Spin SIG[1] (The very start of any process)
0.1: Your spin is reviewed by the Spin SIG
0.2: Changes are suggested, modifications are made.
0.3: At this point, your spin is not Fedora, yet, and needs to be
rebranded[2].
1: Your spin is approved by the Spin SIG, and included in the Kickstart
Pool[3].
1.1: Request access to the spin-kickstarts GIT repo[4]. Every
maintainer is given access to this repository.
1.2: Add your spin to the kickstart pool.
== To Call Your Spin Fedora ==
This part of the process is optional, but is required for any further
steps in getting your spin released as part of Fedora.
2: Submit the Spin for trademark approval to the Fedora Board, by means
of the fedora-advisory-board[5] list. A Feature page[6] at this point is
highly recommended.
2.1: Changes are suggested, modifications are made.
2.2: Spin is approved for trademark usage (or not, in which case the
process ends here).
2.3: The rebranding is removed from the kickstart in the kickstart pool
== To Get Your Spin Released As Part Of The Regular Fedora Release ==
This part of the process concerns whether the Fedora Project is going to
compose and host your spin on torrent, and
spins.fedoraproject.org.
3: Submit the Feature to the Fedora Extras Steering Committee and
Release Engineering. A Feature Page at this point is required, and your
Spin is now following the process of Features like for any given feature
that is targeted for a release.
3.1: Release Engineering will, empowered by FESCo for Feature Review
in case of Spins, review the Feature.
3.2: Changes are suggested, modification may be made.
3.3: The Feature is either approved, or declined.
Does this make sense?
Kind regards,
