Could the guys who tripped over this problem post the output of the
commands
rpm -q --whatprovides libperl.so
and
rpm -q --whatprovides 'libperl.so()(64bit)'
?

Although I have manually added the missing perl libs package,
Here is the first:
# rpm -q --whatprovides libperl.so
fedora-ds-7.1-2.RHEL4
perl-libs-5.8.8-18.fc7
And the second:
# rpm -q --whatprovides 'libperl.so()(64bit)'
no package provides libperl.so()(64bit)
